Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the Royalti.io platform and services operated by Royalti Digital Music Solutions Limited ("Royalti.io", "we", "us", or "our").

This AUP applies to all users of the platform, whether accessing it under a free or paid plan. By using the platform, you accept this AUP alongside our Terms of Use. Violations of this policy may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

Permitted Use

Royalti.io is designed exclusively for professional music rights management. Permitted uses of the platform include:

• Managing music catalogues and associated metadata
• Tracking and analysing royalty payments and distribution revenue
• Managing revenue splits between rights holders
• Administering contracts and licensing agreements
• Accessing distribution analytics and reporting

You may use the platform only for lawful purposes directly related to music rights management and distribution. Any use outside this scope requires prior written authorisation from Royalti.io.

Prohibited Content

You must not upload, distribute, or otherwise make available through the platform any of the following:

• Content you do not own or for which you lack proper rights or licences to distribute
• Fraudulent, misleading, or intentionally inaccurate metadata, including artist names, track titles, ISRCs, UPCs, or ownership information
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, copyright, or neighbouring rights
• Content containing hate speech, obscene material, or material that promotes violence or discrimination against any individual or group
• Malware, viruses, or any other harmful or malicious code
• Content that violates any applicable law or regulation

Prohibited Conduct

In your use of the platform, you must not:

• Manipulate royalty data, artificially inflate streaming counts, or engage in any form of royalty fraud or data misrepresentation
• Use automated tools, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to access the platform beyond what is expressly permitted under your API agreement
• Impersonate other users, artists, record labels, or rights holders
• Circumvent subscription limits, access controls, or usage restrictions imposed by your plan
• Share account credentials or permit unauthorised third parties to access your account
• Interfere with the operation, performance, or security of the platform or its underlying infrastructure
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from any part of the platform
• Use the platform to send unsolicited commercial communications or spam
• Exploit security vulnerabilities or engage in any activity that compromises platform integrity or the data of other users

Enforcement

Royalti.io takes a graduated approach to enforcing this policy. The appropriate response will depend on the nature, severity, and frequency of the violation.

• Warning: For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a written warning and request corrective action within a specified timeframe. Failure to comply may escalate to suspension.
• Suspension: For repeated or more serious violations, we may temporarily suspend your access to the platform. Your data remains intact during suspension unless it is itself the subject of the violation.
• Termination: For severe violations, or where prior warnings or suspensions have not resulted in corrective action, we may permanently terminate your account.

In addition to the above, Royalti.io reserves the right to:

• Remove infringing or prohibited content without prior notice
• Withhold any refund of prepaid fees where termination results from an AUP violation
• Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities
• Pursue any available legal or equitable remedies

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any conduct or content that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to us at [email protected].

Your report should include a clear description of the suspected violation and any supporting evidence. We will investigate all reports in a timely manner and take appropriate action. We are unable to guarantee a response to every report, but we take all submissions seriously.

Relationship to Other Agreements

This AUP is incorporated by reference into and supplements our Terms of Use. If you have entered into a Subscription Agreement with Royalti.io, the terms of that agreement also apply to your use of the platform.

In the event of a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use shall prevail.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, applicable law, or industry standards. Where changes are material, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the platform. Your continued use of the platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP.
